I offer chiropractic care focused on supporting the nervous system for women, children, and families. Care is gentle and tailored to each person, with an emphasis on pregnancy, pediatric, and family care. My goal is to provide thoughtful, unhurried support that helps the body function more smoothly and adapt to everyday stress.

You can get started by clicking Schedule Care on the homepage, using any of the contact forms on the website, or giving us a call. From there, we’ll walk you through the new patient process and help you find a time to begin that initial conversation with Dr. McKenna.
-
Starting care begins with a phone conversation with Dr. McKenna. This time is set aside to talk through your history, what’s been going on, and what you’re hoping for, so you can build a connection before ever stepping into a new space. After that, we’ll schedule your first visit in the office. During that visit, Dr. McKenna complete a gentle neurologic chiropractic exam, and provide your first adjustment if appropriate and talk through recommendations for care.

Yes! I work with children of all ages. I have done adjustments on a baby less then 48 hours old all the way to adults. Care for kids is always gentle and age-appropriate, and parents are involved every step of the way. My goal is for both you and your child to feel comfortable and safe.
-
Yes. I work with pregnant women and use gentle, pregnancy-appropriate techniques, including the Webster technique. Pregnancy asks a lot of the body, and care during this time is focused on support, comfort, and helping the body adapt to ongoing change. The Webster technique is a gentle approach that focuses on reducing tension and imbalance in the pelvis and surrounding areas, creating a more balanced environment for both mom and baby.
-
Yes. The techniques I use are gentle and designed to support the nervous system at any age.
-
No. There is no requirement to commit to care. After your initial visits, we’ll talk through what ongoing support might look like based on what was discussed and what feels right for you. Some people choose a care plan, including wellness or initial restorative care, which offers discounted pricing. Others prefer a different approach. Care plans are always individualized, and decisions are made together, at your pace.
-
That varies from person to person. Every body responds differently, and care looks different depending on your goals and your season of life. We talk through expectations openly so you have clarity, not surprises.
-
Beyond the Spine operates as a cash-based practice. This allows care to stay focused on you rather than insurance requirements or limitations. We do accept HSA and FSA cards, and we’re happy to provide a superbill if you choose to submit for possible reimbursement through your insurance.
-
A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the information your insurance company may need if you choose to seek reimbursement on your own. After your visit, we can provide this for you to submit directly to your insurance provider. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan, and any questions about reimbursement are best directed to your insurance company.
If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to help clarify what care could look like for you or your family.
